Tasked with making doughnuts for an upcoming show at the theatre, I challenged myself to create a way of making doughnuts more efficiently. By sculpting out a few doughnuts in clay first I had to do a bit of problem-solving to figure out how to make the doughnuts lighter in weight. Creating a mold of the doughnut not only helped with the weight issue but also helped create a quick way of reproducing the doughnut. Once the mold was complete I then could cast the doughnuts with expanding foam to create a much lighter prop.
